I'm enjoying my second year of teaching at ABC Christian Academy in Lilongwe. My duties this year include teaching Middle School Language Arts and High School Drama and Public Speaking. I'm also an assistant coach for our swim team and organize the academy's annual Christmas program. I grew up in Schaumburg, IL but lived in Minneapolis, MN for 8 years before moving to Malawi. Brian and Scharlie Carlisle – Headmaster / Middle School Math Teacher

Brian and Scharlie Carlisle are from Illinois and South Carolina, respectively. We met during our time at Covenant College. Brian received his B.A. in History with a minor in Secondary Education. Scharlie received her B.A. in Middle Grades Education. We married soon after graduation in 2000. Brian finished his M.Ed. in Educational Leadership in 2009.



In the spring of 2010, in the midst of much prayer about what God would have us do, we first heard about ABC Christian Academy. We are very excited to embark on a tremendous adventure of serving God and His kingdom in an entirely new way for us. We are humbled that He is giving us and our children this opportunity to be a part of ABC.

Laura Chinchen – Assistant Head/Head Of Admissions

Paul and Laura Chinchen have been missionaries with African Bible College in Malawi and Uganda for 22 years.

Paul is the President of the mission and overseas the running the ABC's three colleges in Malawi, Uganda and Liberia, as well as the operations of the mission\'s three support ministries — the ABC Community Clinic, the ABC Christian Academy, and Radio ABC which operates FM stations in Lilongwe, Mzuzu, Kampala and [soon to open in] Yekepa.

Laura is the Vice Principal and Curriculum Coordinator of the ABC Christian Academy, and also teaches computer keyboarding to incoming Freshmen students at the African Bible College.

The Chinchens met at Biola University in Southern California. Laura is from San Diego, and Paul grew up in Liberia, West Africa, where his parents were missionaries.

After ministering with African Bible College in Malawi for 15 years the Chinchen's moved to Kampala, Uganda, in August, 2004, where ABC was in the process...see complete profile

I was raised in Porterville, California, attended Azusa Pacific University, and moved to Victorville three years ago to begin my teaching career. Jeremy and Jill Kyser are from Clinton, MS. We are graduates of Mississippi State University. As a couple, we have known for a very long time that the Lord was calling us to missions. We remember talking about it while we were still dating. While we always had the desire in our hearts we never knew where, when, or how to go about it. Many times we spoke to people about missions or tried to find information about different sending agencies yet each time the Lord told us it was not the right time. His timing is always perfect. Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!” This year we celebrated our 10 year anniversary and the Lord gave us the most amazing present ever, He finally called us to the mission field! Aly Weimer is from Ocean Springs, MS. She graduated from Mississippi College with a ministry degree. Serving as a missionary was not something she always pictured herself doing. Now, however, she could not see herself doing anything else. She believes wholeheartedly that God has called her to serve in Malawi at this time in her life and is thrilled to be joining the ABC team. She cannot wait to see what God has in store for her life as she serves in Malawi.
